Manchester Institute of Innovation Research is offering a residential professional development course on the Evaluation of Science and Innovation Policies from 23-27 May 2016. The course consists of a set of interactive lectures and a group project work. This will enable all the participants to bring together different elements covered in the course and apply them to a real life case and at the end of the course they will be aware of the main academic literature addressing science and innovation policy evaluation and key examples of evaluations in practice and they will be able to design and apply evaluation concepts in the context of a practical situation.
The course, led by Professor Jakob Edler and Dr Abdullah Gok, will be taught by members of the Manchester Institute of Innovation Research, alongside guest speakers Erik Arnold (Technopolis), Steven Hill (HEFCE) and Mike Thelwall (University of Wolverhampton).
