University Paris-Est Marne-la-Vallée

The University Paris-Est Marne-la-Vallée (UPEM) is a multidisciplinary institution with 12 components, including an IUT and 16 research units, mainly located in the new town of Marne-la-Vallée on the Cité Descartes, in a sector where local authorities work to control urban development by maintaining the richness of heritage and natural spaces.

Since its inception, UPEM is distinguished by a culture of innovation, by developing partnerships close both at the level of training and research with the world of economics, but also in having opted for an original type of governance. It pursues its public service tasks with particular emphasis on two major objectives: vocational skills training and development of a research excellence.

In addition, it maintains close relationships and collaborations, at European and international level, in the areas of training, student mobility and research.
