Laboratoire Interdisciplinaire Sciences Innovations Sociétés (LISIS)Douglas K. R. Robinson is an expert in innovation studies, mapping of science and technology fields, ELSA and constructive technology assessment (including scenarios and roadmapping).
Originally trained as a physicist and space scientist, he earned his PhD in Constructive Technology Assessment of Nanotechnology as part of the Dutch TA-NanoNed nanotechnology consortium under the guidance of Professor Arie Rip and in combination with the FRONTIERS and Nano2Life networks of excellence. After post-doctoral research in management of innovation, and a 2 ½ year position as Technical Analyst at the Institute of Nanotechnology (UK) he decided to locate himself permanently in Paris and to apply his expertise through his own small firm with Prof. Arie Rip.
Alongside activities within his company TEQNODE SARL, he continues expanding the capabilities of his company through participation, as an applied-academic, in a number of projects as a part-time researcher in IFRIS-LATTS (Paris). Specifically, in a project which focuses on capturing, characterising and use of Big Data for studying emerging fields of technology and innovation (http://www.interdisciplinaryscience.net/).
Other applied-academic work includes a contribution to the FP7 VERA project in scenario creation and evaluation (http://eravisions.eu/) and ANR-Nanoexpectation project (analysing emerging nanomarkets).
